The Old Republic
NGD currently has an active Sith/Imperial presence on the server Mind Trick. A pre-launch collaboration resulted in a roster meager, within TOR, with parts of a friend guild by the name of Aegis. United, we are collectively led around the galaxy in pursuit of fringe elements to the raging galactic war. There is hope that Bioware won’t continue to dance around the “War” in Star Wars, but only time will tell.
NGD gaming tastes aren’t exclusive to MMO’s. In keeping with the warped and demented consciousness of our minds, we regularly play a wide expanse of other games, albeit usually together in a casual…blood thirsty…death ball where individual survival is paramount, especially at others expense. Steam, glorious Steam, tends to be the conduit through which the vast majority of these other games are played. That is until such time as we have squeezed every last ounce of pleasure, joy and life out of a game, whereupon it is usually carelessly discarded as we move onto our next temporary fix. Feel free to come join us, the water is warm…actually, that is probably because someone peed in it. No matter, almost all are welcome!
World of Warcraft:
NGD’s WoW division is officially closed. After many years of greatness with loads of awesomeness, NGD found itself somewhat at odds with the design decisions implemented in Cata, aka bored and disgruntled. WoW remains one of the best games of all time. But it is no longer the game it once was. Detailing, specifically, the theoretical points at which Blizzard made design mistakes is pointless, the end result remains the same. WoW NGD has now, and likely forever, closed its doors.
There is a menagerie of big named titles approaching release in the not too distant future and NGD is eagerly anticipating their release. Consequently, rough plans have been sketched out for many of these games so, should they live up to expectations, don’t be surprised if NGD establishes a presence in them. Regardless, in no particular order, here are some games NGD is keeping its eyes on: The Secret World, Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2 and Firefall.
Guild recruitment follows a somewhat formal, and dare we say traditional, path. The many plebs of the world are welcomed, one and all, to apply to NGD. Register on the forums, once verified, login to the forums and use the pinned post at the top of the NGD recruitment subforum to create a recruitment post, simple as that. Once done, except a dose of silly questions from NGD members, perhaps some serious ones, and try to keep a regular eye on your recruitment post initially. First impressions count for something.
Please be advised we recruit for personality, attitude and ability. We also tend to shy away from younger players, under 18 years of age specifically, because frankly we don’t want immature drama. We have made exceptions in the past to those who have intelligently and coherently presented themselves. But fair warning, they have been exceptions for a reason.
